TGL golf: Tiger Woods not playing in SoFi Cup semi-finals but Rory McIlroy ready to make play-off return for Boston Common

Rory McIlroy returns to TGL action in the SoFi Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, live on Your Site, as Tiger Woods continues to sit out of the 2026 season as he recovers from injury.

McIlroy's Boston Common face Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club in the second of Tuesday's double-header at the SoFi Center, having finished first and fourth respectively in the SoFi Cup standings.

The world No 2 said 'we'll see' when asked whether he would feature in the semi-finals on Sunday, following a disappointing title defence at The Players and overcoming a back injury, but headlines for Boston Common alongside Adam Scott and last year's Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.

Akshay Bhatia, Max Homa and Tom Kim will represent Jupiter Links, with Woods once again watching from the sidelines and still yet to feature since undergoing another back surgery last October.

Woods said earlier in the year that he hoped to feature in the TGL this season, although his latest absence will raise questions over his possible attempt to make another comeback at The Masters next month.

The 50-year-old has previously hinted at targeting a return to action at Augusta National, which would mark his first major appearance since The Open in July 2024, with Woods likely to be asked about his injury progress during Tuesday's semi-final.

The earlier semi sees Atlanta Drive GC continue their bid for back-to-back TGL titles against Los Angeles Golf Club, with changes to both teams after a busy run of big events on the PGA Tour.

English pair Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood represent Los Angeles GC alongside Sahith Theegala, with Collin Morikawa missing for them after withdrawing after just one hole of The Players due to a back injury.

Patrick Cantlay, Chris Gotterup and Billy Horschel represent Atlanta Drive GC, as Justin Thomas sits out after marking his return from a four-month injury layoff with back-to-back PGA Tour events.

The opening semi-final begins on Tuesday at 10.30pm, live on Your Site Golf, with the second getting under way at 1am on Wednesday.

The two match winners will progress to next week's best-of-three final series, with the opening match take place at 9pm on Monday March 23 (1am Tuesday March 24 UK time).
